The Book of Love Early Bird and Major Prize Competition
Terms and Conditions

1. Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements form part of these terms and conditions. By participating in this promotion entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Entry into this competition signifies acceptance of all conditions. The Promoter, West Australian Newspapers Ltd's decision is final and cannot be contested. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to limit entry or amend rules if considered necessary, without notice.

3. Valid entries consist of messages placed in The Book of Love via the following mechanisms:

• Online: via thebookoflove.com.au
• Telephone: 13 22 80
• Email: messages@thebookoflove.com.au or classifiedadvertising@thewest.com.au

4. All entries placed in the Book of Love will be in the draw to win prizes structured as follows:

EARLY BIRD DRAW

5. Entrants who place a classified message before 5pm WST, Friday, 3 February 2012 will be eligible for the Early Bird Prize Draw.

6. Of those eligible for the Early Prize Draw, the first twenty entries drawn on Monday, 6 February at 12 noon will be deemed winners and will receive:

• Meal voucher to the value of $200.00 redeemable at Mosmans Restaurant in Mosman Park.
• Valid Monday to Thursday only
• Not valid in conjunction with any events or other offers
• Valid for 6 months from the date of issue
• Bookings subject to availability

7. Entrants who place messages online and have ticked the box titled “Tick the box if you would like to receive special offers by Mosmans Restaurant” will have their information collected for the purpose of promotion and marketing and agree to be contacted by and receive marketing and promotional materials from Mosmans Restaurant. Subject always to clause 21.1:

• By ticking the box entrants agree to give Mosmans Restaurant permission to keep their personal details on record for the use of a database and for marketing and promotion indefinitely.
• If you do not wish to receive marketing materials from Mosmans Restaurant after ticking the box please contact Mosmans Restaurant in writing at Mosmans Restaurant, 15 Johnson Parade, Mosman Park, or by phone on 9383 3388
• All personal details kept will be used by Mosmans Restaurant for the purpose of Mosmans Restaurant marketing and promotion. Your details will not be given to a third party or used in any other way without your express permission. Mosmans Restaurant will take all reasonable steps to ensure the security of your personal information.

MAJOR PRIZE

8. Entrants who place a classified message before 4pm WST, Monday, 13 February 2012 will be eligible for the major prize draw.

9. 9.1 Of those eligible for the major prize draw, the first name drawn on Tuesday, 14 February at 12 noon will be deemed the winner and contacted via telephone. The winner will receive the following:

• A travel voucher to the value of $7,000 from Travelworld. Bookings are to be made by the winner direct through Travelworld, Allendale Square, Perth and will be subject to Travelworld’s Terms & Conditions.
• Prize travel cannot be exchanged for cash in full, or part thereof.
• Prize travel is valid for 2012, excluding during peak events, including European Trade Fairs, and booked subject to availability.

9.2 $2,000 spending money from The West Australian.

10. Travel Insurance is not included with the major prize but is recommended. It is the winner’s responsibility to organise and pay for their own travel insurance.

11. All contestants release from, and indemnify, West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and Travelworld against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.

12. Entry is open to all residents of Australia. Winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian when claiming and collecting their prize. Photo identification may be required upon collection of the prize.

13. All additional costs incurred will be at the expense of the winner.

14. The winners will be notified by telephone/email after the prize draw. In the instance that the winners cannot be contacted on the telephone number/email provided within five (5) working days, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner/s will be drawn.

15. It will be the winner’s responsibility to redeem the prize from The West Australian. No cartage expenses are included in the prize.

16. The prize/s must be taken as supplied and is/are neither redeemable for cash nor transferable. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.

17. It is a condition of entry that all prize winners agree to have their name and suburb published on thebookoflove.com.au for publicity purposes. By participating in this competition, participants signify their acceptance of all conditions.

18. In participating in the competition, entrants agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner agrees to grant The West Australian a perpetual and exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs, as well as their actual entries (whether on DVD or photograph) in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use. The winner agrees they will not, and will ensure that their companions do not, sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.

19. Employees of The Promoter, Channel 7 Perth, Mosmans Restaurant and their associated agencies and immediate families, are ineligible to enter.

20. The Promoter and their associated agencies accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.

21. 21.1 The entrant consents to the use by West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and its related corporations (as defined by the Corporations Act 2001) of the entrants’ details and acknowledges that West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and its related corporations, may, at its discretion, disclose and use those details for the purpose of providing you with goods or services, communicating with you, planning, research, product and business development and sales, the benefit, promotion and marketing (whether target, direct or indirect) of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party which we believe may be of benefit to Participants or them. The details will also be used to investigate complaints, as required or permitted by any law, to enable West Australian Newspapers Limited Group to perform its obligations to you under this or any other agreement and to ensure that you perform your obligations under this or any other agreement.

21.2 If you do not want the details to be used for the purposes stated in clause 21.1 please write to us at The West Australian (attention Group General Counsel), GPO Box D162 Perth WA 6840, or contact the Group General Counsel on 08 9482 3111 and The West Australian will ensure that the details are not used for that purpose.
